BSNL’s Latest Internet Plan Rates Will Make You Throw Your Jio Sim Away

Reliance Jio, with its never-ending free services, has shaken up the telecom industry. Every passing day is multiplying the customers of Reliance Jio and making competitors slash their charges. The company who has entered this race recently is Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited. BSNL has recently slashed its 3G plan rates by about three-fourth and has brought the costs as low as Rs 36 per GB.
The recently released statement says,
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has decided to offer up to four times extra data on existing data STVs (special tariff vouchers) available in the market.
BSNL customers will now enjoy amazing data services with exciting plans. The company is now offering 8 GB of 3G data under the ₹291 plan. Only 2GB data was provided under this plan earlier. The company also claimed that it is providing one of the lowest plans in the industry…
With these offers BSNL is now offering data at the rate of ₹36 per GB which is one of the lowest in the Industry.
BSNL Board Director for Consumer Mobility, RK Mittal, while talking about the plans
We are committed to providing affordable mobile services for all segments of the prepaid mobile customers. These offers will be valid from February 6, 2017, on Pan India basis.
However, it’s not the first time the company has slashed its rates. Last month, it launched a ₹144 monthly prepaid plan which offered unlimited local and STD calls to its users for 28 days. The plan is for prepaid and postpaid users and comes with 300MB of free data.
If you compare these plans with Jio, they won’t look as exciting as the free services Jio is providing. But, one thing that everyone should notice here is that Jio offers are only valid this 31st March 2017 and its services will be charged post this date. Whereas, BSNL has launched long-term and economical plans.
