Bollywood actor Prateik Babbar is reportedly dating 27-year-old writer-director-editor Sanya Sagar, who is the daughter of a politician.

According to reports, Sanya Sagar hails from Lucknow and is in a relationship with Prateik Babbar for the last six months.

Mumbai Mirror reports that Prateik Babbar has found love in Sanya Sagar. The tabloid quotes a source saying, "They've even met each other's parents informally. But for now, they're focused on their careers."

The report further adds that the couple have known each other for 8 years, but got into a relationship only six months ago when Sanya returned from London after completing a year-long post-graduate course from Goldsmiths, University of London, with specialisation in film.

Prateik Babbar and Sanya Sagar are often spotted together on dinner dates in Mumbai.

The report also states that Sanya has graduated from the National Institute of Fashion Technology in fashion communication. Sanya also has a one-year diploma in practical filmmaking from the London Film Academy and has worked as a production assistant on the Danny Huston-starrer, 'The Last Photograph', and as a production runner on the Salma Hayek short, 11th Hour.

Looks like Sanya and Prateik share their passion for filmmaking.

Prateik, son of late actress Smita Patil and actor-politician Raj Babbar, started his acting career with a small but noticeable role in 'Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na' in 2008. He followed up his act with films like 'Dhobi Ghat', 'Dum Maaro Dum' and 'Ekk Deewana Tha'. His last release came in 2013 with 'Issaq'.

Prateik plans to venture into the hospitality sector with the launch of a wellness centre in Himachal Pradesh's Dharamsala city.

After grappling with drug and alcohol addiction, Prateik Babbar recently completed a year of sobriety.

The 30-year-old actor is set to return to Bollywood with two bigticket projects, Ahmed Khan's 'Baaghi 2', featuring Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani, in which he plays the antagonist, and Anubhav Sinha's social-thriller 'Mulk' with Rishi Kapoor and Taapsee Pannu.
