Here’s why the Padmavati trailer is being launched at 1.03 pm!

Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor‘s Padmavati trailer is all set to release today. The trailer will be release at 13:03 pm.

You all must be wondering why the makers chose to release it at such a strange time like 1.03 pm na? Well, there is a special connection between the timing and the film!

Apparently, Maharawal Ratan Singh (Shahid Kapoor’s character) and Alauddin Khilji (Ranveer Singh’s character) started their battle in 1303 AD and hence the special timing has been chosen for the trailer launch.

Shahid is playing Rawal Ratan Singh while Ranveer will play the menacing Khilji in Padmavati. The trailer that will hit the internet today will feature the romance between Deepika and Shahid’s characters and Ranveer will be seen as a baddie for the very first time.

Padmavati is based on lore that 14th century ruler Alauddin Khilji fell madly in love with Padmini, the queen of Chittor. Choosing honour over a life in Delhi, Padmini and the other women of Chittor killed themselves by leaping into a fire – a practice called jauhar.

Padmavati, also starring Jim Sarbh and Aditi Rao Hydari, is slated for release on December 1.
